Welcome referees! A referee can have a big impact on the development of youth soccer. Here you will find all the information you need about becoming a referee.
Referee certification comes a cost. Kiel Soccer will fully reimburse the cost with successful completion. Email refassignor@kielsoccer.com with your certificate!
Position Type: Paid
Age Requirements: Age 13 - Adult
Cost: $70
A certified referee is approved through US Soccer and is able to referee youth recreational games, competitive games and tournaments.
*Must be 13 or older at time of course start.

EWSL New Referee Development is designed for those starting out. This is not a certification course but referees who complete this course can referee EWSL 8U and 10U games.
Class for new referees:
March 8th from 8:30-12:30pm

Consists of field (indoor) and class room training.

Zero Tolerance
Kiel Soccer Club along with our league and state affiliations strictly follow a a Zero Tolerance Policy.
Referees, especially in the recreational program, are learning just as the players are. Calls may not always be correct but are opportunities for growth.
Referee abuse is strictly forbidden at any Kiel Soccer game!
Should you witness an incident and feel it should be reported please click on the button below and also notify the Kiel Soccer Club Board.
